I have been in the fitness industry for most of my life. As a child, I danced in the styles of tap, jazz and ballet. I also studied Yoga and Pilates to complement my dancing experience. I have participated in multiple races such as the Miles for Matheny 5K, Rocky Run 5K, Rugged Maniac 5K Mud Run, The Midland Run 15k, 10 Mile Men’s Health Urbanathlon Relay, The Philadelphia Marathon (26.2 Miles) and many others. While in college, I joined the Trixies Pixies professional bodybuilding sports team, and began my time as a bikini and figure competitor with the National Physique Committee, which I plan to continue as time goes on.
In addition to the above accomplishments, I have an active passion for hiking. Over the last 9 years, I have hiked to the Mauna Kea observatories on the Big Island of Hawaii, Haleakala Volcano in Maui and Rim to Rim across the Grand Canyon. I have spent a significant amount of recreational time hiking national and state parks with my husband, Mark. We have always aspired to attempt the Appalachian trail at some point among our many adventures.
I am confident that I am qualified and ready to provide readers with a diverse system of education, advice and support to guide them down a path toward well rounded health and wellness.
And YES, I also am a FULL TIME MOMMY of two WILD and AMAZING children, which is truly my favorite job in the world!!
